{"id":30269,"date":"2026-05-13T16:43:03","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T20:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssr.cl\/home\/?p=30269"},"modified":"2026-05-13T16:43:04","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T20:43:04","slug":"charla-de-afs-motiva-a-jovenes-a-vivir-experiencia-de-intercambio-estudiantil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ssr.cl\/home\/charla-de-afs-motiva-a-jovenes-a-vivir-experiencia-de-intercambio-estudiantil\/","title":{"rendered":"Charla de AFS motiva a j\u00f3venes a vivir experiencia de intercambio estudiantil"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Opening up to the world, discovering new cultures, and daring to grow far from home are experiences that can shape a person\u2019s life forever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today and throughout last week, representatives from AFS Intercultural Programs met with students from Years 10, 11 and 12 who are interested in taking part in a student exchange experience abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the sessions, students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the application process, the countries available, the most common challenges that may arise, as well as the many personal benefits and learning opportunities involved in participating in an exchange programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The experience was especially enriching, as it helped to break down myths and concerns, while providing clear and approachable information about a journey that encourages independence, adaptability, personal growth and an intercultural outlook among our students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to thank the AFS team for such a valuable and insightful talk, as well as our English Department \u2014 especially Miss Cynthia Vera \u2014 for encouraging our students to take part in opportunities like these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abrirse al mundo, conocer nuevas culturas y atreverse a crecer lejos de casa son experiencias que pueden marcar la vida para siempre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoy y durante la semana pasada, representantes de la AFS se reunieron con estudiantes de II, III y IV Medio interesados en vivir una experiencia de intercambio estudiantil en el extranjero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante las jornadas, los j\u00f3venes pudieron resolver dudas, conocer m\u00e1s sobre el proceso de postulaci\u00f3n, los pa\u00edses disponibles, las dificultades m\u00e1s comunes que pueden surgir y tambi\u00e9n los m\u00faltiples aprendizajes y beneficios personales que implica participar en un programa de intercambio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La instancia fue especialmente enriquecedora, ya que permiti\u00f3 derribar mitos y aprehensiones, entregando informaci\u00f3n clara y cercana sobre una experiencia que impulsa la autonom\u00eda, la adaptaci\u00f3n, el crecimiento personal y la mirada intercultural de nuestros estudiantes.
