Last Wednesday,\u00a0IV Medio students from both campuses<\/strong>\u00a0received their Cambridge English qualifications, demonstrating language proficiency ranging from A1 to C2, the highest level of English language proficiency. During the ceremony, Gabriel Hern\u00e1ndez, Academic Consultant at the Instituto Chileno Brit\u00e1nico, presented commemorative plaques to our school\u2019s leadership team, officially recognising our institution as a\u00a0Cambridge English Preparation Centre<\/strong>, following the renewal of our partnership with the Instituto Chileno Brit\u00e1nico in Vi\u00f1a del Mar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s results showed significant progress!<\/strong>\u00a0For the first time, one of our students achieved C2 certification, the highest level of English proficiency. Cynthia Vera, Head of the English Department, highlighted the positive development of this programme, which strengthens our students\u2019 language skills and broadens their academic and professional opportunities.Congratulations to our students and the English Department on these outstanding achievements!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also encourage our current III Medio students<\/strong>, who will be taking these examinations next year, to make the most of this opportunity, which our school provides free of charge<\/strong>. Entering higher education with an internationally recognised English qualification offers a significant advantage, as it broadens academic and career opportunities. Depending on each institution\u2019s requirements, it may also allow students to gain exemptions from English language modules, helping to reduce their university workload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El mi\u00e9rcoles pasado, estudiantes de IV Medio de ambas sedes recibieron sus certificaciones internacionales de ingl\u00e9s de la\u00a0Universidad de Cambridge<\/strong>, acreditando sus competencias en el idioma en niveles que van desde A1 hasta C2, el m\u00e1ximo nivel de dominio ling\u00fc\u00edstico. Durante la ceremonia, Gabriel Hern\u00e1ndez, consultor acad\u00e9mico del Instituto Chileno Brit\u00e1nico, entreg\u00f3 a las autoridades de nuestro Colegio los galvanos que reconocen oficialmente a nuestra instituci\u00f3n como Cambridge English Preparation Centre, tras la renovaci\u00f3n del convenio con el Instituto Chileno Brit\u00e1nico de Vi\u00f1a del Mar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a1Los resultados de este a\u00f1o reflejan importantes avances!<\/strong> El 64,4% de los estudiantes evaluados alcanz\u00f3 un nivel B1 o superior, frente al 53,2% registrado en 2025. Adem\u00e1s, por primera vez, un estudiante obtuvo la certificaci\u00f3n C2, mientras que aument\u00f3 el n\u00famero de j\u00f3venes que alcanzaron los niveles B1 y C1. Cabe destacar que solo cuatro estudiantes obtuvieron el nivel A1, lo que evidencia una disminuci\u00f3n respecto del a\u00f1o anterior y una progresi\u00f3n hacia niveles superiores de dominio del idioma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cynthia Vera, jefa del Departamento de Ingl\u00e9s, destac\u00f3 estos resultados y la positiva evoluci\u00f3n del proyecto, que a\u00f1o a a\u00f1o consolida el aprendizaje del idioma como una herramienta fundamental para el futuro acad\u00e9mico y profesional de nuestros estudiantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Felicitamos a nuestros j\u00f3venes por sus logros y reconocemos el trabajo del Departamento de Ingl\u00e9s, cuyo compromiso ha sido fundamental para fortalecer este proyecto educativo que ampl\u00eda las oportunidades de nuestros estudiantes y sus posibilidades de desenvolverse en un mundo globalizado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
