Kindergarten A and Kindergarten B pupils recently enjoyed a meaningful learning experience that combined their English lessons with an educational visit to the Seminario Valparaíso Museum.
The activity began in the classroom, where the children completed a hands-on craft related to animals while reinforcing the vocabulary they have been learning in English. They then had the opportunity to bring their learning to life through a visit to the Museum, where they explored an impressive collection of animal specimens.
The visit was carefully designed to give the pupils the experience of attending a cultural venue. Upon arrival, they received their admission tickets before taking part in a short guided tour. They were then able to observe, from just a few centimetres away, giraffes, lions, a variety of primates and many other fascinating animals, sparking their curiosity and enthusiasm.
This initiative provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen English language learning through a memorable, hands-on experience, encouraging observation, curiosity and meaningful connections between classroom learning and the rich educational resources offered by the Museum.
The school warmly congratulates the English Department, the kindergarten teachers and teaching assistants for organising this enriching activity. Special thanks also go to Natalie Recabarren, Curator of the Museum, for providing our pupils with an inspiring cultural and educational experience that will undoubtedly remain one of their most treasured memories.
