In a narrow margin of competition the student Catalina Álamos of Valparaíso campus obtained the 2nd place of the category 8° year in the contest Speeling Bee developed on Thursday, August 31 by the Saint Dominic school in Viña del Mar, occasion in which 12 alumn@s of both venues participated, accompanied by the teachers of the Department of English María José Cabrera and Maite Romero, as well as its Coordinator, Cynthia Vera.
In the 7th grade category participated: Emilio Figueroa, Luciano Robles and Pablo Elgueta for Valparaíso; Rocío Kimer, Agustín Vinés and Florencia Morales for Viña del Mar. While in 8th grade the school was represented by: Catalina Álamos, Sebastián Farías and Rafael Céspedes (Valparaíso) Antonia Contreras, Vicente Miranda and Carolina Muñoz (Viña).
We congratulate the enthusiasm and dedication of our students to face the event, as well as the teachers who were constantly motivating them to overcome their fears and give their best, transmitting confidence and security in their learning.
