Students from 3rd grade, Valparaiso were able to demonstrate not only their linguistic skills but also their artistic skills by creating a book cover of their choice.
This activity encouraged imagination and motivation for reading as they invented characters in the story and incorporated vocabulary already known to the new vocabulary learned.
The activity was very entertaining for the children, since through drawing and painting they were able to display their creativity, imagination and work on negotiation skills to reach consensus in a group work.
