Nicolás Castro was the student who won 1st place in the 5th grade category in the Speeling Bee contest developed by the Sain Dominic School of Viña del Mar last Thursday, when our school participated with a delegation of 12 students from both sites, accompanied by the English Department teachers Pamela Véliz and María José Cabrera, as well as its Coordinator, Cynthia Vera.
In the 5th grade category, Agustina Briceño, Pía Pacheco and Catalina Vega from Valparaíso where the ones who participated. Amanda Campos, Nicolas Castro (winner of the category) and Elisa Robles attended for Viña del Mar. In 6th grade represented the school: Nicanor Araya, Magdalena Arriagada and Matilda Reyes (Valparaíso) Felipe Alonso, Cristobal Elgueta and Ignacio Hidalgo (Viña del Mar).
The students were selected in an internal contest, developed by the English Department, so that all of them had the opportunity to participate and live the experience of this contest.
We highlight the work of the teachers for the work done and the motivation they awaken in the children to participate in initiatives such as these. We also congratulate our students for their performance and urge them to continue perfecting their language skills, which will open many doors for them in the near future.
