SSR Students attend talk by chinese ambassador at PUCV

Last Friday, a delegation of students from our school, accompanied by teachers from the English Department, attended the talk organised by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) titled «Relations and Challenges between Chile and China,» presented by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Chile, Mr. Niu Qingbao.

The activity aimed to expose our students to a completely bilingual context, allowing them to practise the language and approach relevant topics for their future in Higher Education.

During the talk, the Ambassador spoke about the historical relations between both countries, the current and future challenges in bilateral cooperation, and the opportunities for collaboration in areas such as education, technology, and commerce.

We highlight the interest and participation of the students, who surprised the speaker and the audience by asking and delving into economic topics, excellently representing our school not only in their language skills but also in their knowledge of international economic affairs.

We thank the Director General of International Affairs of the PUCV, Orlando de la Vega, for inviting our school to this valuable activity that significantly contributes to the education of our students.
